If you're having a gold crown replaced, ask your dentist before the appointment to keep the old one for you. Many offices will return it on request, and it's your gold to sell.
Once you have it, rinse it, let it dry and keep it in a small sealed bag. Don't try to pry off porcelain or tooth material. We test the metal as it is and account for everything that isn't gold.
Dental offices with scrap from crown replacements are welcome too. Call ahead and we'll arrange a time.
